Olympic Torch Relay Success

Seven teams (USA, Mexico, Japan, France, Germany, China, and Kenya) speedwalked, backstroked, and silly-walked their way through the Olympic Torch Relay at the County Courthouse today.

More Olympic Adventure Club activities are happening next week -- August 11-15 at 10:30 for the preK-2nd graders and 1:30 for the 3rd-5th graders. Kids can earn sports ribbons by participating in a different sport each day.

Also kids can earn bronze, silver, and gold medals for participating in the Olympic Reading Marathon by reading at least 26.22 minutes a day during the week of the 2008 Olympics. Get your Olympic Reading Marathon log at the library today!
